Gary Prescott, THE Biking Birder, a 68 year old retired school teacher with a passion for nature. Over the last 16 years he has been on six Biking Birder adventures to say thank you to the thousands of children he has had the privilege of teaching over the decades, he is raising money for an amazing Children’s Hospice in his beloved Birmingham, ACORNS CHILDREN’S HOSPICE. To help nature, especially BIRDS, he is fundraising for the environmental charity, the RSPB. This year he has three major projects planned for – cycling along the route that Laurie Lee – Cider With Rosie and As I walked Out One Midsummer Morning author, took from his home in Slad, Gloucestershire to Spain. In September he is hoping to spend a month at The Gesundheit Institute in West Virginia, USA. Finally in November he will spend the month cycling in Rwanda! All these will be adventures with fundraising aims. Hope you will enjoy following my adventures!
Biking Birder IX sees our intrepid, pensioner on a bike, Gary Brian Prescott, off to Rwanda for the month of November year to be once more The Biking Birder. Did Gary survive? If so, what adventures did Gary have? Did the Gorillas sit on him? Did a pride of Lions make him into a sandwich? All will be revealed at this humorous talk with amazing photos, songs and just possibly a bit of dancing!
