The Club’s recent photographic competition was great fun. Twenty seven members entered up to four pictures each which were all judged by Derek Gale. Derek is a professional photographer with extensive experience of presenting to and judging competitions at camera clubs.
The winner of the Flight and Action category was Bryan Hutchings’s beautiful image of a Green Backed Hillstar, this picture also took the audience vote for the Gordon Langsbury Memorial Trophy.
In the Portrait section the winner was Sue Truby’s Cattle Egret.
This Great Crested Grebe by Dave Rimes took the top spot in the Birds in Berkshire class 
Runners up in the three categories were:
Flight and Action runner-up: Brian Winter, European Roller
Portrait runner-up: Marek Walford, Great Reed Warbler
Birds in Berkshire runner-up: David Flory, Goldcrest
There were also some excellent commended entries in each category.
