The distinctive pale winter plumage of Sanderling
Sunday 21st January 2018
This site can normally produce a huge variety of waders and wildfowl, but in January there is a good chance too of sea-ducks, divers and scarce grebes. The area rarely fails to produce something really special. The off-shore marsh and the pools inside the sea-wall will normally have a large number of waders and wildfowl of great variety, while the inland scrub can produce anything from Dartford Warblers to Short-eared Owls and harriers.
Meet at 9.00 a.m. at Keyhaven car park (SZ308916 / nearest SO41 0TR) for limited free parking; there is a paying car park nearby.
