The Slimbridge experience is unique. Rarities are frequent, the facilities and food are excellent.
One of the highlights of our events Programme is our all day coach trip to WWT Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, which will be on Sunday 11th January, 2026. This is a joint event with RSPB Wokingham & Bracknell Local Group, who are the lead organisers this year.
Our coach will depart from Finchampstead Memorial car park at 7.30am and from the University of Reading Whiteknights Campus at 8.00am (Car park 1A is now Pay and Display, £3 all day for non-permit holders, payment by credit / debit card or RingGo app).
Allowing for a comfort stop we should arrive at Slimbridge at 10.00am. We will be staying to watch the wild bird feed at 4.00pm and departing at 4.45pm arriving back at Reading at around 6.45pm and Finchampstead at 7.15pm. The coach fare will be in the range £20 to £25, the final fare depending on the number of bookings.
