An area of mostly coniferous woodland with some deciduous patches and areas of more open heath. Simons Wood is managed by the National Trust.
Access: there is a car park on the north side of the B3348 in Simons Wood (SU813 637). There are easily followed tracks and trails in both The Ridges and Simons Wood.
